MISS TIFFANY

For those of you that haven't been to a ProTour level race this season, I can tell you that of any team that stands out in the peleton it is the Liquigas team. Their kits and bikes are perfect. Well, of course they are, Cannondale, Campagnolo, and Fulcrum. And I swear every guy on the team is 6'2" about 150 lbs, super tan, and Italiano. Being a puny white boy, I must confess to being intimidated.

Intimidation is exactly what Miss Tiffany brings to the table. Let me say this and be very clear: THIS BIKE KICKS ASS. Just look at this racing monster. Let's hope that Tiffany doesn't roll up next to you while your pride and ego are vulnerable. Is this a woman's bike? No. Does a woman ride and race it? Yes. Do I believe in women's specific bikes? No.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the pictures you will see the young Tiffany crossing the finish line a week or so ago at the Camp Pendelton Road Race. She beat all other women. Not bad for her second outing. She is blessed with two things: great genetics and massive femurs. And I mean that in a good way! Most importantly, Tiffany is a great person and friend and we here at Pista Palace wish her the best of luck and success in all her endeavors. She happens to be the only lady on the Pista Palace's Arrogant Bastards team...but can a woman be a bastard? Hmmm....Arrogant Bitches? That does kinda' have a nice ring to it.

Anyways.....the bike you see here is on par with any other bike we sell here at Pista Palace. It is of the highest quality and craftsmanship. I took it for a short spin around the neighborhood today and WOW, the acceleration is incredible. You pedal, it goes. Simple as that. As you can clearly see Miss Tiffany is adorned with Campagnolo. Free at last, free at last, thank god the Cannondale has Campy at last. Can you imagine putting anything else on a team Liquigas frame? You'll also notice the "Made in USA" on the top tube. This isn't because it came from China and was painted in the US. No, it is because this bike, along with the Slice and all CAAD aluminum bikes are made here, in the US. Pista Palace believes in country of origin. Hold on....I gotta find my Bruce Springsteen.....

The Fizik saddle is cool, huh? Fizik saddles are the best. And yes, they are 100% made in Italy. The bartape is also Fizik. Campagnolo Record seatpost. Get a look at the stem....it is a System Six stem. And yes, I know the fork is also a system six fork. Can you say race stiffness? Zero gravity brakes as always. And some of you guys out there will embrace rumors that they don't stop well. I can tell you that they stop amazing and that I don't know of any person out there that has ever used them that doesn't still use them. TIME pedals, of course. But these are the ladies TIME pedals. Light release action and in a cool white color. Deda Newton handlebar.

OK...so maybe the Lightweights may be out of Tiffany's price range, but it is a good thing that Pista Palace is an exclusive Lightweight dealer and service center and that anyone can come in and demo a set. Did you know they come with a 3 year no questions asked replacement warranty? Awesome. And they just look perfect on Miss Tiffany. It is possible that Campagnolo Scirocco's sometimes find their way on this steed.

The total weight with pedals (and Chorus 11 speed) is 14.72 lbs. No Nokon or Power Cordz this time. Hey, we gotta leave something for Tiffany to come in and buy in the near future. If you want to get a closer look at Miss Tiffany, come and check out the Pista Palace Saturday morning ride and you just might get to stare at the rear brake for a few seconds.
